閩寧鎮(zhèn)的故事

　　Over the past two decades, more than 60,000 people living in poor areas of China have settled in a new home – Minning Town.

　　閩寧鎮(zhèn)，這個(gè)當(dāng)年由習(xí)近平親自命名的扶貧移民區(qū)，已從一個(gè)“天上無飛雀，地上不長(zhǎng)草，風(fēng)吹沙石跑”的荒蕪之地，發(fā)展成為常住居民6萬余人的特色小鎮(zhèn)。

　　This poverty alleviation scheme was set up in 1997 by Xi Jinping, who was then deputy Party chief of Fujian Province. Xi was in charge of Fujian’s effort to assist Ningxia. He proposed a resettlement programme, under which entire village communities in poorer areas such as Xihaigu would be moved to the more fertile land near the Yellow River.

　　1997年，福建和寧夏啟動(dòng)了對(duì)口扶貧協(xié)作。作為起點(diǎn)，閩寧鎮(zhèn)從無到有、由弱到強(qiáng)，見證了閩、寧攜手從單向扶貧到互利共贏的20載。

　　Under this new initiative, the Ningxia region would receive a helping hand from the prosperous east coast province of Fujian. The system Xi pioneered in Minning is now spreading across China.

　　2016年7月19日，習(xí)總書記到閩寧鎮(zhèn)視察時(shí)曾給予高度肯定并指出：“閩寧鎮(zhèn)從當(dāng)年的‘干沙灘’變成了今天的‘金沙灘’，探索出了一條康莊大道，我們要把這個(gè)寶貴經(jīng)驗(yàn)向全國(guó)推廣。”

　　The Fujian-Ningxia partnership has been operating for 20 years. In that time, 66,000 people have been relocated to Minning Town. Across Ningxia, 1.16 million people have benefited from the “Relocation and Transplantation” program.

　　如今，曾經(jīng)的戈壁荒灘變成了現(xiàn)代化的生態(tài)移民示范鎮(zhèn)，6萬多名曾經(jīng)生活在貧困山區(qū)的農(nóng)民走出大山搬入閩寧鎮(zhèn)，通過移民搬遷走上了脫貧致富之路。
