It was fine day yesterday and visitor volume continued to grow. By 7pm, 394,000 visitors crowded the Expo Site, up from 363,200 on Thursday and 335,300 on Wednesday.
Among yesterday's visitors, 151,900 were group tourists and 50,231 tickets were sold on site, with 17,732 night admissions.
As of 6pm, the gate at Houtan had received 79,000 visitors, compared to 52,000 at Shangnan Road, 68,000 via Changqing Road and 40,000 through Gaoke Road W.
By 10pm, 138 shows were staged within the site, attracting 262,549 spectators. Some 5,572 volunteers served on the site.
The transportation system carried 735,800 visitors. By 4pm, five medical stations in the site had received 300 visitors, of whom 30 were externally injured and seven got slight sunstroke.
According to the Expo Bureau's Ticketing Centre, some 137,000 group visitors will visit today.
